Feds to help immigrants adapt to workforce
Getting a job when you get to Canada is about to get easier for more immigrants, says Citizenship and Immigration Minister Jason Kenney. The Canadian Immigration Integration Project (CIIP), which began in 2007 as a pilot program, is getting $15 million over the next three years to expand its services in India, China and the Philippines, as well as to open a new office in London, England. The new office will serve prospective immigrants in Scandinavia, Britain and the Gulf States.

New Canadian Embassy to open in Prague
Czech nationals will be able to apply for Canadian visas in Prague as of 21 December 21, the Canadian Government has announced.
In July, Ottawa re-imposed its Canadian Visa requirements for Czech nationals wanting to visit or travel through Canada.
Czechs were forced to apply for their visas in person at the Canadian Embassy in Vienna as the Prague Embassy did not have a visa department.

Survey shows Canadian businesses intend to hire more employees
Canadian small business’ optimism about hiring in 2010 has increased, especially in finance and retail sectors, according to a recent survey.
The Manpower Employment Outlook Survey  released by employment services and payroll company Manpower Canada  has found that  15 percent of Canadian businesses plan to increase hiring levels in the first quarter of 2010 , a further sign that the number of Canadian jobs will continue to increase.
