The entrepreneur category of SINP is a three step process. First, candidates fill out an expression of interest showing their qualifications and business plans. Then the province will invite the most qualified candidates to apply to the stream. Candidates are given points based on their expressions of interest; the higher a candidates points, the more likely they are to receive and invitation. Finally, if a selected candidate’s application is successful, they will receive a nomination from the province of Saskatchewan for Canadian permanent residence.
In order to be considered eligible for this program, you must demonstrate a that you meet certain selection criteria. You must have at least $500,000 CAD in personal and business assets, three years of relevant managerial or entrepreneurial experience in the past 10 years, and be willing to invest at least $300,000 CAD in a business in the province. If you are planning on investing outside of Regina or Saskatoon, then the required minimum investment is $200,000 CAD.
This immigration program is not designed for everyone. The minimum requirements are somewhat difficult to achieve.
