Saskatchewan PNP revises In-Demand Occupations List

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) has updated the in-demand occupations list for its popular Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). The list is used to screen candidates for the Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand streams of the program. The province added 12 new occupations and removed 10 earlier occupations.

Saskatchewan’s In-Demand Occupations List is used to determine eligibility for two popular streams of SINP. The Saskatchewan Express Entry and Saskatchewan Occupations In-Demand streams both require candidates to have at least 12-months of full-time work experience in one of the occupations included on the in-demand list.

On April 4th, 2019, Saskatchewan announced it has updated the in-demand occupations list:

In the update, Saskatchewan added the following 12 occupations to the list:

SINP Express Entry & Occupations In-Demand

The SINP In-Demand Occupations List applies to the following programs:

  1. Saskatchewan Express Entry: This program requires candidates to have an active Express Entry profile along with at least 12-months of full-time, skilled work experience in one of the province’s in-demand occupations.
  2. Saskatchewan Occupations In-Demand: This program does not require candidates to have an active Express Entry profile, but it does require at least 12-months of full-time, skilled work experience in one of the province’s in-demand occupations. This program requires candidates to show proficiency in either English or French at the Canadian Language Benchmark of Level 4.

Please note that both of these programs use an Expression of Interest (EOI) system to select candidates. Interested candidates must first create an online profile. Only those with the most competitive profiles will be invited to apply to the PNP.
