B.C. Invites Tech Nominee Candidates

On November 16, 2021, the British Columbia Nominee Program (BCPNP) issued invitations to select candidates eligible under the BCPNP Tech Program.

Those invited in British Columbia’s latest draw were eligible under the BCPNP Tech program. The program offers expedited processing and weekly draws for those with a job offer in one of 29 tech occupations. Tech candidates must also be eligible under one of BCPNP’s existing Skills or Express Entry Immigration streams.

The latest BCPNP Tech draw targeted 87 candidates with a minimum SIRS score of 75. After targeting Tech candidates with a minimum score of 80 for most of the year, BCPNP has been targeting candidates with a score between 70-75  in recent draws.

Tech candidates make up a large proportion of BCPNP’s nominees. In 2020, 1,855 nominations were issued to Tech candidates – about 30% of all Skilled Immigration nominations.
