Canada has held a new round of invitations for provincial nominees today on November 10, 2021. Today’s draw marks the fifth consecutive Express Entry draw targeting Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates.
Draw Number: 209
Date of Draw: November 10, 2021
Number of Invitations Issued: 775
Minimum CRS: 685
Program Specified: Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
Tie-breaking rule: August 12, 2021
A total of 775 candidates were invited to apply for Canadian permanent residency in the 209th Express Entry draw.
All candidates invited in today’s draw previously received a nomination from an Express Entry-aligned PNP. An additional 600 points are awarded to Express Entry candidates who receive a provincial nomination. Due to the additional points awarded to these candidates, the CRS score is typically much higher than other program draws. Prior to receiving a provincial nomination, the lowest ranking candidate had a CRS score of just 85.
As Federal Skilled Worker draws remain at a standstill, provinces have continued to recruit skilled workers from the Express Entry pool through nominee programs.
As the Canadian government continues to hold smaller PNP-specific Express Entry draws, FSW candidates anxiously await the next all-program draw.
