Start free immigration assessmentThe most recent category-specific Express Entry (EE) draw for healthcare and social services professionals was held this week, following the previous Healthcare and social services occupations draw on May 2, 2025. In this latest EE draw #349, a total of 500 Invitations to Apply (ITA) were issued to candidates with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 504, marking a lower cut-off score than the previous draw for this category.
This draw targeted candidates from a specific set of healthcare occupations within the Express Entry pool. Compared to the last healthcare category draw #327, which issued 500 ITAs with a higher CRS cut-off of 510, the lower yet still high CRS score continues to reflect the competitiveness of this category and Canada’s evolving approach to immigration and response to labour market demands for skilled workers.
Express Entry is a system used by the Canadian government to manage applications for Canadian permanent residency. Express Entry uses a point-based system, the CRS, to rank candidates’ profiles.
The first step is to submit your profile with the required documents. Required documents usually consist of language test results, educational credentials and passport or travel documentation.
After you submit a profile and receive an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence, you can submit your complete application for the IRCC to review. Your complete application should include supporting documents such as reference letters, additional identity documents, police clearance certificates, and results of a medical examination.
