The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) held a new draw for Express Entry candidates with experience in one of 18 priority occupations on February 22, 2022.
In the most recent OINP draw, the province invited a total of 773 candidates in its largest Human Capital Priorities Stream draw of the year. The draw also targeted one of the largest CRS ranges ever seen in a Human Capital Priorities Stream draw.
As Canada puts a hold on Federal High Skilled Worker (FSW, CEC, FST) draws, provinces continue to invite overseas candidates from the Express Entry pool.
Dates of Express Entry profiles considered: February 22, 2021 – April 29, 2021
CRS score range: 455-600
Number of invitations: 773
Those invited in OINP’s latest Express Entry draw must meet the requirements of Ontario’s Human Capital Priorities Stream and indicated their primary NOC code as one of the following occupations:
Ontario’s Human Capital Stream hosts a collection of immigration pathways within the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), including the Human Capital Priorities and French-Speaking streams.
Both streams use the Express Entry system to search for profiles that help meet the province’s labour market or demographic needs.
The streams holds draws throughout the year, where they target a CRS range and/or set of occupational codes, and invite candidates to apply for the chance to be nominated for Canadian permanent residence.
In addition to meeting stream-specific criteria, candidates applying through the Human Capital Priorities or French-speaking streams must have an active Express Entry profile and meet draw-specific criteria.
Upon receiving a nomination from Ontario, candidates receive an additional 600 points toward their CRS score, essentially guaranteeing an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence.
