The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) has held their largest draw of the year for French-speakers in the Express Entry pool.
On October 7, 2021, Ontario issued 162 invitations to candidates that qualified under their French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream. Candidates invited in this draw must have had a CRS score within the range of 459-467 and meet the additional stream requirements.
Dates of Express Entry profiles considered: October 7, 2020 – October 7, 2021
CRS score range: 459-467
Number of invitations: 162
Throughout the year, OINP invites French-speaking candidates directly from the Express Entry pool to apply for nomination. In addition to meeting the minimum Express Entry requirements to submit a profile, candidates must also meet the following:
If a candidate meets these requirements, and the CRS requirements of the draw, they may be issued a Notification of Interest (NOI) of their Express Entry profile.
Candidates who received a notification of interest on their Express Entry profile must subsequently submit an application to Ontario via the OINP online portal within 45 calendars days. At submission, candidates must then remit a non-refundable application fee of $1,500 CAD.
After receiving a nomination, a candidates’ CRS score will increase by 600 points, essentially guaranteeing an Invitation to Apply for permanent residence.
