B.C. Invites Nearly 200 Profiles in Targeted PNP Draws

On April 5, the British Columbia Nominee Program (BCPNP) held four targeted draws for in-demand workers.

B.C.’s latest targeted PNP draws invited candidates with scores as low as 70. The BCPNP also held a general draw for all other occupations with a higher score requirement.

The latest BCPNP draws prioritized candidates with a job offer as an early childhood educator or in a health-related occupation.

Candidates selected in the latest draws met the criteria for one of the British Columbia Nominee Program’s  five Skills Immigration and Express Entry streams,

• SI – Skilled Worker
• SI – International Graduate
• SI – Entry Level and Semi-Skilled
• EEBC – International Graduate
• EEBC Skilled Worker.

April 5 BCPNP draw results:

General draw: 131 invitations

The following draw targeted all occupational codes, including tech occupations.

Express Entry BC categories (EEBC) minimum SIRS score:

• Skilled Worker: 125
• International Graduate: 109

BC Skills Immigration categories minimum SIRS score: 

• Skilled Worker: 110
• International Graduate: 98
• Entry Level and Semi-Skilled: 77

Targeted childcare draw: 43 invitations

The following draw targeted candidates eligible under the International Graduate stream with a job offer as an early childhood educator in NOC 4214.

Minimum SIRS score: 70

Targeted healthcare draw: 14 invitations

This draw invited candidates eligible under the Skilled Worker and International Graduate streams and a job offer in one of 35 healthcare-related occupational codes.

Minimum SIRS score: 70

Targeted healthcare draw: <5 invitations

This draw targeted individuals eligible under the Entry Level and Semi-Skilled stream, with a job offer as a Healthcare Assistant (NOC 3413).

Minimum SIRS score: 70

Targeted draw for other priority occupations: <5 invitations

This draw targeted individuals with a job offer in NOC 3114 or  NOC 3213.

Minimum SIRS score: 70

How do BC PNP EOI draws work?

Candidates that meet the requirements for BC’s Skilled Worker, International Graduate, or Entry Level and Semi-Skilled Worker pathways can submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the province.

Once a candidate creates an EOI profile, they are ranked by the province’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) and given a “SIRS” score.

The highest-ranking candidates will receive an invitation from BC to apply for nomination.

After receiving an invitation, candidates have 30 days to prepare and submit their online application to the province.

Nominated candidates are then invited to apply to the federal government for Permanent Residence.
