MIFI Invites 216 Skilled Workers to Quebec for PR

Published on: July 29th, 2025

On July 14, 2025, 216 individuals were invited by the Minister of Immigration, Francization, and Integration (MIFI) to apply for permanent residency in Québec through the Skilled Worker Selection Program. This round focused on highly qualified professionals already living in Québec with diplomas from Québec institutions.

What is the Skilled Worker Selection Program

This program allows successful applicants to settle in Québec permanently and work. Everyone who received an invitation this round had first shown interest in moving to Québec as a skilled worker by filling out a form in Arrima which is an online system Québec uses to manage immigration applications. Arrima works in a similar way to Canada’s Express Entry system. It uses a points-based system to evaluate and rank candidates based on things like education, work experience, and language skills.

According to MIFI’s website, the invitations were sent out through the Arrima selection system at 12:57 PM on July 14, 2025, signifying movement in Québec’s ongoing efforts to attract skilled workers to strengthen its economy.

Program Requirements

In this round, all the invited candidates had high enough scores and met all the required conditions. That’s why they were invited to apply for permanent residency in Québec. To be eligible for an invitation, candidates had to meet the following criteria as listed on Quebec’s website:

  1. Have a score of 768 or higher in the Arrima selection system.
