The Ontario Regional Immigration Pilot is part of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) and is designed to draw skilled workers to rural and smaller communities in Ontario, in order to fill local labour gaps. The Pilot is anticipated to begin in 2020.
The Regional Immigration Pilot is intended to draw and retain skilled workers to rural and smaller communities throughout the province. The Ontario government is currently in the process of engaging with selected rural communities to gather feedback and determine local interest.

The Pilot is currently not open to accept applications as it is in its community selection phase. The pilot is anticipated to open for applications in 2020.
