This stream is designed to target individuals with work experience and family members in New Brunswick.

  Both the applicant and their relative in New Brunswick must meet certain conditions to be eligible for this stream.  

Applicant Requirements

Connection to New Brunswick Candidates must have a close relative in New Brunswick and at least two years of work experience in New Brunswick to be eligible for this stream. The candidate must be a non-dependent child, brother, sister, niece, nephew, or grandchild of the family supporter. The candidate must also have at least two years of continuous, full-time work experience in New Brunswick in the last five years.   Language Proficiency Candidates must demonstrate a minimum language proficiency equivalent to Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 5.   Level of Education Candidates must have completed either an academic degree from a college or university that required at least three years of full-time study, or a diploma in a specific trade that required at least two years of full-time study. They must also have any additional education, qualifications, or licenses required to perform the duties of the job they have experience in and intend to practice in New Brunswick.   Work Experience Candidates must have at least two years of continuous, full-time work experience in New Brunswick in the last five years. Work experience must be in an occupation at National Occupational Classification (NOC) Skill Level 0, A, or B, or at NOC Skill Level C or D in Skill Type 1, 3, 7, 8, or 9 to be considered valid.   Age Candidates must be between 22 and 55 years old on the day their application is received by NB PNP.   Settlement Funds The candidate must demonstrate that they have sufficient funds to support themselves in New Brunswick. They must demonstrate at least $10,000 CAD for themself and $2,000 CAD for each accompanying family member.  

Family Supporter Requirements

Relationship to Candidate The Family Supporter, or their spouse or common-law partner, must be a close family relative of the candidate. Family Supporters may only support their non-dependent child, brother, sister, niece, nephew, or grandchild. No other type of relationship to the candidate is eligible for this stream.   Status in Canada The Family Supporter must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, and must reside full-time in the province of New Brunswick.   Financial Requirements The Family Supporter must be financially self-supporting, and must assist the candidate with a settlement plan. The Family Supporter must have been operating a business in New Brunswick for at least 12 months, or have been working in New Brunswick in an occupation classified as National Occupational Classification (NOC) skill levels 0, A, or B, or NOC skill level C in NOC skill type 1, 3, 7, 8, or 9.
