Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) has invited a total of 546 candidates from the Expression of Interest pool to apply for nomination.
Ontario targeted 542 individuals eligible under the Masters Graduate and PhD Graduate streams in their latest draw. Another four candidates were invited under the Economic Mobility Pathways Project through the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream.
Ontario started accepting Expressions of Interest through these streams in the summer of 2021. Prior to this, the stream had operated on a first-come, first-served basis. Application intake would open and close throughout the year and stop accepting applications when their quota was met.
Candidates can now submit Expression of Interest profiles any time throughout the year for the chance to be invited through a nominee draw. Invited individuals have 14 days to apply for nomination and must submit documentation to support all scoring factors included in their application.
Invited candidates required a minimum Expression of Interest score of 35 to receive an invitation. This same score was targeted in OINP’s previous Masters Graduate stream draw.
PhD stream candidates needed at least 25 points to be invited in yesterday’s draw, an increase from the stream’s previous draws, which targeted a score range between 16-17.
Ontario’s latest Foreign Worker stream draw targeted candidates eligible under the Economic Mobility Pathways Project. The program is aimed at bringing skilled refugees through various existing economic programs. There is no minimum points requirement for these candidates.
