Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
Quebec’s Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP) have undergone significant updates to enhance clarity and streamline processes for prospective candidates.
Here are the key changes across various programs:
A crucial modification involves the exclusion of candidates employed in ineligible sectors from selection in any of the programs. Ensure you review the updated list of ineligible employment sectors on each program’s requirements page.
Additionally, a notable change dictates that experience gained in a Quebec company must be within a context where the candidate exercises no direct or indirect legal or de facto control.
Candidates in this program are now required to use the new NOC 2021 classification system when creating a new profile. Updated NOC codes align with the latest version, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
The Permanent Immigration Pilot Program for Workers in the AI, Information Technologies, and Visual Effects sectors introduces a comprehensive update to the list of NOCs. The inclusion of new NOC codes is complemented by the specification of hourly wages required in job offers presented in the application. Noteworthy NOC codes and their respective hourly rates include:
Exciting news for international students! Starting November 23, 2023, international graduates are no longer required to obtain work experience in Quebec to apply for the Quebec Experience Program.
However, starting November 23, 2024, new eligibility criteria come into effect, requiring candidates to have completed three years of full-time studies in French in Quebec or abroad or have completed an eligible program of study in French, i.e. a program in which 75% of the courses or credits were completed in French, in Québec.. Specific conditions apply, and candidates are urged to review the updated program requirements carefully.
A notable change in this program is the discontinuation of support for NOC 4412 by the Permanent Immigration Pilot Program for Orderlies. Candidates are advised to align their profiles with the updated requirements.
Stay informed and ensure your profile adheres to the latest updates in Quebec’s Provincial Nominee Programs for a seamless application process.
