PROVINCIAL NOMINEEONTARIO IMMIGRANT NOMINEE PROGRAM – HUMAN CAPITAL PRIORITIES

You may be eligible for the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) Human Capital Priorities Stream if you are a skilled worker in the federal Express Entry pool and want to live and work permanently in Ontario. You may not apply directly to this stream, you must have received a Notification of Interest from Ontario to be eligible.

CANDIDATE ELIGIBILITY

Meeting the criteria listed below does not guarantee a nomination or permanent residence.

 

As a candidate, you must:

  • Be in the Express Entry pool
  • Provide language test results demonstrating language proficiency of at least CLB 7 in all language abilities
    • Language tests can be no more than two years old.
  • Have at least one year of continuous, full-time (or equivalent part-time) paid work experience in a single occupation classified as National Occupation Classification (NOC) Skill Type 0 or Skill Level A or B. Your work experience must be:
    • Either within the past five years from the date you received the Notification of Interest
    • Or in Canada within the past three years from the date you received the Notification of Interest.
  • Have a post-secondary education credential (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree)
  • Score a minimum of 400 points in the Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) before receiving an Ontario Provincial nomination.
  • Demonstrate that you meet minimum income requirements and/or settlement funds to support yourself and your family in Ontario.
    • Minimum income requirements are set by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
  • Demonstrate that you intend to live in Ontario permanently.

INELIGIBLE CANDIDATES

Individuals in the following circumstances are not eligible for the OINP Human Capital Priorities stream:

  • Those who have not received a Notification of Interest from Ontario
  • Refugee claimant in Canada
