Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
Manitoba held a new Expression of Interest draw on October 21, 2021, inviting 464 candidates under the Skilled Workers In Manitoba, International Education, and Skilled Worker Overseas streams.
Manitoba’s latest draw invited more Skilled Workers in Manitoba compared to the province’s previous round of invitations despite the points requirement rising slightly. Manitoba also invited more Skilled Workers Overseas candidates this round, with a lower minimum points requirement.
Earlier this year, Manitoba invited a record-breaking number of Skilled Worker Overseas candidates registered under the Express Entry system.
Recent MPNP draws have returned to targeting overseas candidates that had previously been invited directly under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative. Receiving an invitation under a Strategic Initiative increases a candidate’s Expression of Interest score by 500 points. This gives these candidates an advantage in Expression of Interest draws and a higher chance of receiving an invitation.
Candidates who received an invitation in this draw may apply to Manitoba for nomination. Successful nominees will be invited to apply for Canadian permanent residence.
Skilled Workers in Manitoba:
Number of Invitations issued: 388

International Education Stream:
